Classic Game Room HD – PERSONA for PSP, Shin Megami Tensei

Classic Game Room HD reviews PERSONA for PSP in the Shin Megami Tensei series from Atlus. This amazing and creative series has many games for a variety of consoles such as the Nintendo DS and Playstation 2. Persona marks the series debut on the PSP with turn based strategy, dungeon crawling, demon slaying RPG action. Darker and more subdued than the other games (in the SMT series) that I’ve played, Persona missed some of the “wow” factor that made the others jump off the screen. Play as a team of teenagers (surprise!) from high school who are uncovering a mystery as to why demons are appearing all over town and their high school disappears and stuff like that. The usual, you know how it is. Feelings, inner turmoil, fighting demons, blah blah blah. Persona has a very sedimentary turn based strategy fighting style where two opposing teams square off in a rectangle and take turns casting magic spells, shooting and attacking each other with swords, guns and mop handles. Level up characters with experience points, level your personas up while using them and enjoy hours and hours of gameplay in this fancy dungeon crawler from Atlus. This CGR review of Person on PSP has gameplay from the Shin Megami Tensei video game Persona from Atlus.

Game Center coming to iPhone next week in iOS 4.1
Apple’s Keynote just brought news that Game Center is ( finally !) coming to iPhones in iOS 4.1. It bears the new, greener look we saw back in July and, as Steve Jobs noted, has a heavy focus on multiplayer. Beyond playing games with friends, there are matchmaking and leaderboards across multiple games; it’s more or less Steam for your phone. Jobs says iOS 4.1 – and thusly, Game Center — will …

Borderlands mapping out Game of the Year Edition Oct. 12

A Few Rallies with Virtua Tennis 4 and PlayStation Move
As dark clouds have taken residence over London and the weather resembles a certain interactive drama, I don’t think I’ll be stepping onto a tennis court any time soon. Luckily, I have a PlayStation Move motion controller, a 3D TV and an early demo of Virtua Tennis 4 to tide me over. I recently spoke [...]

Xbox Live Pricing Takes a Hike, But Not The Right Kind
Sometimes Microsoft gets it right, but sometimes it gets it head-smacking wrong. Charging $100 for a wireless adapter would be the latter, while charging $300 for an souped-up Xbox 360 with integrated wireless may by contrast induce jaw-on-the-floor-itis. Charging $50 a year to access premium content is fine. Charging $50 a year to play online against other gamers isn’t.

Classic Game Room HD – THE CONDUIT for Wii review

Classic Game Room HD reviews THE CONDUIT for Nintendo Wii from Sega. Is The Conduit the best first person shooter on the Wii? CGRHD thinks so. A cool single player campaign, multiplayer that works and excellent production values make The Conduit a must have for action game fans with a Wii. No longer can you complain about shovelware shooters, Sega has delivered the goods and the goods are called ‘Da Condooit. Can ya do it? I Conduit! So can you! This CGRHD review of The Conduit has gameplay footage from The Conduit on Wii showing single player FPS shooting and multiplayer on Nintendo Wii in The Conduit. It is a science fiction game with aliens and stuff and bad guys and a conspiracy and…. whatever, shotguns, rocket launchers, laser guns and machine guns!! Deathmatch, team deathmatch and more over Nintendo Wi-Fi. Conduit is Sega’s answer to what didn’t exist in the first place. A good, non-stop, action packed Wii shooter with functioning multiplayer.
