Classic Game Room HD – LUX-PAIN for Nintendo DS review

Watch in High Definition! Classic Game Room HD reviews LUX-PAIN for the Nintendo DS handheld game system. This Japanese style mystery, crime game takes place in Kisaragi city. You play as Atsuki Saijo whose parents were killed by The Silent. Now, with psychic abilities and Lux Pain you hunt down the Silent and search for the Original. Sound confusing? It’s like Ghostbusters 2 but with a bunch of 17 year old Japanese kids and more violence. This Lux Pain review has gameplay footage from Lux Pain showing the game play with HD footage. Excellent artwork and graphic style enhance this unique but slow paced game where you unravel a mysterious plot and talk with lots of people to rid Kisaragi City of evil. Fans of Japanese crime manga and anime should find this game interesting while those craving more action packed games should look elsewhere (METAL SLUG 7!). Lux-Pain is published by Ignition and features hours of gameplay where you interact with fellow students in school, talk with people in town and investigate crime scenes. Scratch away the surface and uncover shinen beneath which are residual psychic feelings or something like that. I got this packaged with Megaman Star Force 2 for $20 at sears. Since I’ve been looking for Star Force 2 and was curious about this title I got the bundle. I then quickly looked up this game to see if it was any good. Critics didn’t seem to like it, but I don’t trust them anymore, so I found that CGR HD did a review on it and I watched it to see if I should keep it. Judging by what I have seen, I guess I can give it a try.

@TooyaRima these games are similar to it and just as great:
    Trace memory

there’s a bunch of animu that nubs donno originated from eroge which makes me lul

im pretty sure 75%+ of the guys that watched phantom requiem for the phantom thought it started off as an animu or something.

but it came from an eroge made from nitro+

This is an awesome game, I loved the story so much. It took me 33 hours and 2 tries to beat the darn thing. The story really picks up after you get past the first boss. The silent actually starts getting harder later on, and I actually lost a couple times xD so that’s not typical of a visual novel. Check your picture extras if you feel that your ending sucked u might have gotten a premature ending. If you have any slots unfilled then you didn’t complete the game.

    thank you =)

This game is great but you have to admit it, its not for everyone… its kinda weird, the ending is abrupt and it has the so hilarious Engrish (If you still laugh at “All your base are belong to us” then you will laugh a lot) But Ive been thinking, this game should have an anime adaptation… I dont know why are there so many good graphic novels but none has an anime. Not even Phoenix Wright (Thinking that PW is second on the list of games that should have an anime)
    Thanks for reading.

  • Enerccio Says:

there are a lot visual novels out there, and quite some have detective story, so check them out

  • TheRockbuddy Says:

Thank you for this review. If you didn’t make I probably wouldn’t have bothered to get the game, which I love.

  • JackSparrowRon Says:

Yeah, I wouldn’t call it an “adventure game” any time soon. Visual Novel sounds just right =D

  • Dauntaro Says:

It’s only classified as an adventure game because stupid baka gaijin American faggots don’t want to accept the “visual novel” media style.

  • Dauntaro Says:

Isn’t that the game where you molest witches until they give up and eject their souls?

  • dementedkirby Says:

Why’d Lux-Pain get so many bad reviews? If you’re into Phoenix Wright or other visual novels, it’s a worthwhile game.
